Greetings everyone, and welcome to our new website! We’ve finally have a website nice enough to show to you, thanks to our great friend Björgvin, an Icelandic graphic designer and a cool guy.

We’re getting ready for our fifth Iceland Airwaves Festival, so we’re pretty stoked about that. We got home from LA and Seattle yesterday – that was to say the least – fantastic! We were playing at Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles, held by Filter magazine, which was amazing!

Our recently recorded EP album, titled ‘EP’, is hitting the stores here in Iceland this week, so we’re working hard getting everything ready for that. It will then be released soon in USA and Europe we hope. If that get’s delayed there is always the store on our NEW WEBSITE (whoop whoop!)

So yeah, we’ve been busy lately, playing in US, China and Europe number of times this year. Also we’re heading back to the states to play in New York and then Canada, at the M For Montréal Festival in… Montréal! in November

Anyway guys… You’ve all been so amazing to help us out with our Pledge campaign which is ending now and supporting us by coming to our shows all over the world, and for that we can’t thank you enough – but this website is a start at least… Right? Be sure to check it out because we’re going to be putting all updates, shows and merch info in here.

Take care!

We’re so happy, cause today we found our friends (sung in E major)…

Anyway, it’s raining here in Reykjavík but it’s alright because our Pledge campaign is doing so incredibly well and our recently finished tour was very successful, not to mention all the lovely people we got to know on our trip through the Baltic countries.

The gigs weren’t many but they were nevertheless amazing! We started off at Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary and that was just mind-blowing. Got to see many of our favorite bands and were honored to take part in this madness. Next stop was in Riga, Latvia. We played at a club called NABAKLAB and the crowd just gave us goosebumps! Wonderful night and a wonderful gig. After that we arrived in Tallinn, Estonia to perform at the Iceland Day, due to their 20 years of Estonia independence. And of course all the people who made this happen attended so that was quite an experience, and we had lots of fun.

The day started with a cosy acoustic gig in a small courtyard in the Old Town of Tallinn and it was PACKED! We did not expect this good attendance so we were definitely not disappointed. Sold lot of CD’s and everybody was really nice. Later that night we played at Von Krahl, the club that all the Icelandic acts performed at. Nice wine, nice food, nice people and one hell of a gig! It was just so surreal to be on a tour and all the gigs we’re so great. This is what makes you happy! This is what made our day. So once and for all; thank you guys for welcoming us. I have a feeling we’re coming again soon.
Here’s a little video from the Sziget Festival

But in other news you may have noticed that we’re doing a little Pledge campaign. It’s for the recordings of our new EP album which we’re going to release this fall and follow it through, in Europe and hopefully US also. It’s been going on for over a week now and BOOM; 93 pledges already, which does 88%! Thank you guys, we’re endlessly grateful for the support. We’re offering some exclusive and limited stuff, so please check it out at least! Here you can chcek out our Pledge Campaign

We are actually putting a final touch on the 4th and last song on the EP album as we speak, so I’d better get back to it before everything goes to hell.

Thanks for reading and supporting! Will be back with more updates soon!

Take care,

Wow… These past days have been pretty hectic to say the least – although we’ve only played one gig. We arrived in Frederic Chopin Airport in Warsaw, Poland early morning the 8th and had to wait for about two hours to get our sprinter van. When the van finally arrived it took us another hour to get the paperwork through and people were tired and hungry so it didn’t start as smooth as it usually does. But anyway, it worked in the end and we started driving towards Budapest, Hungary (which is only 12 hours drive approximately).

We arrived in Budapest the day after, thanks to Elvar and Addi who drove like maniacs (they didn’t hurt anyone or anything that we know of on the way), so that was nice. We’re not used to this extreme heat so we all got pretty dizzy right away, but there’s only one way to cure a heat stroke, and that’s beer – and loads of it. And that’s basically what we did to cure ourselves. You can’t go on a tour and just die the first or second day, so we drank a lot of beer and had unexplainably good time. Saw many of our favorite bands and met some really nice people. And by the way, the swimming halls here in Budapest are unreal! Wow, you have to see them to know what I’m talking about. Simply amazing.

But alright, let’s stick to the program. It’s August 14th and it’s an extremely hot Sunday and we’re getting ready to play our official gig at Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary. We’re tired and sticky (because of the heat, don’t read anything else into it) and just really pathetic. But the show must go on, so we jump into our super-sprinter-awesome-van and drive early Sunday morning to the festival campus. We get to our backstage, which is a shipping container! Nothing wrong with that. I guess it’s nice to be in one if a thunderstorm breaks out or zombies start to attack you, so the day at the campus started really nice. We played at Europe Stage which is a really nice outdoor stage and can fit pretty many people so once again; so far so good.

We were pretty lucky with the soundcheck, there is; we got almost two hours to get the sound right, and like always, we only needed about 10 minutes – that’s why we’re pretty popular among sound guys. Simple setup (simple minds).

It’s ten minutes to gig. We start our pep-up with the mouse, the lion, the elephant and the… Doesn’t matter. When we get on stage the audience are pretty stoked and therefore we get some extra energy and start with an extended intro version of Kastljós and A LOT of feedback. The heat is about 34 degrees Celsius (93 degrees Fahrenheit) and we’re sticky! The set list is about an hour and the fun we had playing this set, for this crowd and at this stage was just… Amazing! After the show we jumped like professionals off the stage and right into the crowd to sell CD’s which went pretty well. Usually bands don’t sell CD’s at festivals by themselves but we did it anyway – it’s much more personal (and that’s one of the main reasons why we’re doing a Pledge via PledgeMusic.com if you want to check it out).

The day after (today) has probably been the hardest one to handle. We’re pretty sore in our necks and bodies and pretty burned also thanks to the sun who bullied us the whole time. But enough whining! We’re back in Poland at some really nice hotel in the country side, driving towards Riga, Latvia – it’s about 20 hours drive. We’ve driven through Slovakia, Check Republic and now, Poland, just working really hard on computer stuff and media stuff.

Anyway, take care for now and we’ll hear from you soon!

All the best,

For a Minor Reflection.
